An Unusual Case of Altered Gallium-67 Citrate Distribution with Multiple Red Blood Cell Transfusions
多次紅血球輸血後鎵-67檸檬酸鹽分佈異常之少見案例
摘要
A 59-year-old male with colon cancer developed progressively worsening fatigue, nausea, and fever. He had a history of anemia and leukemia. The patient received multiple red blood cell transfusions within two weeks before gallium-67 (Ga-67) scintigraphy (GS). GS revealed an atypical distribution of Ga-67 citrate primarily in the axial skeleton, proximal portions of the appendicular skeleton, and the liver. The presented case is an unusual case of GS's mimicking a bone scan.
