With the popularization of internet, the improvement of internet speed, further interconnection of libraries across different regions, and the advancement of technologies in photography, scanning, and image display, the traditional bibliographic search have gradually evolved into three-dimensional digital archives. Different digital archives could be combined to construct a "scholarly big data" and its eclectic features break through the limitations of individual digital archive, which is not only conducive to the preservation and dissemination of research results, but also helpful to explore new research possibilities. It is especially suitable for some research topics with large time spans and involving vast amount of texts. Some scholarly big data focusing on books and newspapers of the first half of the 20th century have been developed in recent years, which include a large number of research results on Ci study, providing new possibilities for the development of research on Ci study for that time. There was a significant achievement of Ci study in the first half of the 20th century, especially in the publication of Ci annotations. Unfortunately, such Ci annotations are often seen as auxiliary learning tools and receive little attention from academia, and are rarely collected by libraries over time. This article uses scholarly big data to comprehensively study the Ci annotation of the first half of the 20th century, and some rare Ci annotations were found out, such as Wang fan's Xiao Jian Shu Yu Ji, Yang tiefu's Meng Chuang Ci Xuan Jian Shi"(1932 first edition) and Yu Jian's Tang Song Ci Xuan Chu Ji Ping. The inheritance and transformation of the concept of "Jituo" and "Shoulu" from Ci study of Qing dynasty are also examined.
