摘要

目的：探討乳癌病患在治療期間所面臨的困擾及擔憂問題。希望除為乳癌患者治療癌症外，能提供更多的協助並加強相關衛教和資訊。方法：針對2004年9月至10月間在台北市立聯合醫院仁愛院區放射腫瘤科治療之五位乳癌患者，以低結構開放性的問題來訪談病患，以探討患者所面對的困擾與擔憂問題。結果：從整理歸納訪談資料後，發現個案患病後所面臨的困擾與擔憂問題有：因治療引起的身心壓力問題、親友支持問題、日常飲食起居問題、家庭成員問題、對生存未知問題、失眠問題。結論：此次訪談發現病患在治療的過程中，要面臨手術後身體心像改變及治療帶來之身心與社交的衝擊，如此的壓力需要極大的勇氣去適應。由訪談中可發現病患在面對癌症與治療所造成的不適及渡過種種難關時，週遭親人的支持是很重要的，而醫療人員除了提供正確的治療與衛教資訊並適時給予支持及關懷，也能幫助病患面對並克服種種的困擾和擔憂。

Background and Purpose: Patients with breast cancer may be confronted by many anxieties and concerns during treatment. We investigate these worries and hope to offer more help and information about the disease and its treatment in order to allay them. Methods: To interview five patients with breast cancer treated at the Radiation Oncology Section of the Taipei City Hospital from September to October 2004. Exoteric questions were used, which encourage the patients to completely express their thoughts. We then collected the data on the main concerns and anxieties. Results: According to the records of the interviews, the main concerns and anxieties of the five patients with breast cancer were psychosomatic distress from the complications of treatment, family support, daily life, family issues, uncertainty of death, and insomnia. Conclusion: In the process of their treatment, the patients have to face changes to their body image after surgery and have to confront the physical, psychological and social conflicts that go along with treatment. To better adapt to the stress related to breast cancer, the patients not only need great personal courage but also unconditional support from the people around them. The correct treatment, information and kindness offered by caring medical staff may be an important source of strength.
