The booming tourist industries in Taiwan bring out the urgent needs of hotels, and make ”Green Hotel” as the leading sustainable business model. To improve the high consumption of energy and resources, and reduce negative environmental impact in the operating process, this research tries to provide directions and practice techniques for improvement of the hotel industry.This study collected and analyzed the evaluation items, contents, assessment and reference of the related national and international rating systems to serve as the reference for establishing the ”Green Hotel rating system” in Taiwan. Through integrating the evaluation the performance on building design, energy system, water system, green purchasing and environmental management, hotels are expected to use natural resource as efficiently as possible to provide adequate service while reducing the negative environmental impact.
