This article introduces briefly the vocational education embedded in primary, secondary and higher education governed by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Korea. Furthermore, the major policies and reforms related with vocational education and promoted by government from 1996 to 2010 are explored concisely. Based on describing those policies and reforms, the underpinning thinking toward lifelong education is exposed. Learning from Korean experiences in vocational education, some suggestions and introspection are provided.
