運動員全人教育的理念與作法

The Idea and Approach of the Holistic-Person Education in the Athletes

摘要


運動是人類社會發展的重要文化成就之一;運動員則是展演運動特質的核心要角;東西方社會,年輕運動員的優異成就更是世人追求卓越的典範與理想投射,故對運動員的教育是不容輕忽的希望工程。近來隨教育改革的推動,全人教育的思潮甚囂塵上,無論從事實或理想面,我們都堅持運動員絕不是頭腦簡單四肢發達的武夫,更不是國家或教練的財產,他們是真實活在自我、他人、萬物與超自然四者之間之有血有肉的存有者,故同世人般,他們也有權利接受全人教育的培養,以為其健全、美善的人生發展做準備。準此,本文以論述為方法,在全人教育的理論基礎下鋪陳,並關照台灣社會傳統上對運動員培育的疏漏處,提出五點談論運動員全人教育之應有觀念與作法,分別是:(一)先肯定運動員這個人的存在,瞭解人之多元智慧,並尊重運動員也有接受全人教育之權利,且要真切落實之;(二)要體認運動員有生涯轉換的危機,並從教育的方式中防微杜漸、轉化危機;(三)要將運動員放在社會人的位置、擺在社會的中間予以對待;(四)鼓勵運動員學習終生致力於關注自己、認識自己、栽培自己與修練自己的自我實踐理想;(五)運動員的全人教育不能忽略運動教練的全人教育的素養。總之,社會所以能邁向成功的關鍵乃基於教育能涵養人類的反省與批判能力,當我們已然反省並體認到運動員有實施全人教育的必要時,理念的建立是實踐的開始!

One of the significant achievements in human society development is sport, and athletes are the key figures of it. From West to East, the young excellent athletes are the models and references for all people; therefore, to give athletes a well-done education is a very important project Nowadays the idea of holistic person in education is in, everybody can be a well-developed person by it. In addition, we believe that athletes are both brave and wise. They are not the property that belongs to a nation or a coach. They are the real living people who exist in the relationships of self, the others, creations and supernature in the world. Hence, in order to cultivate athletes to become the sound people in body and mind, we should educate them with the approach of holistic-person education. According to the background as above, this article was conducted by discourse. There were five recommendations as following: 1. People should admit the reality that athletes are the individual beings, recognize their multiple wisdoms and insist they must be educated with the holistic- person education project. 2. It was necessary to understand the unavoidable transfer crisis in athletes' career developing and to cultivate them to cope with the difficult situation from the educational system. 3. Everyone should regard and treat the athletes as the real social beings. 4. Educators should encourage the athletes to seek their self-fulfilling via caring, knowing, cultivating and experience themselves. 5. We couldn't neglect the essentiality for coaches' holistic-person education before emphasizing the importance of the holistic-person education in athletes. In sum, the critical point to running a successful society is base on the educational system that could cultivate its people to raise the habitus of reflection and criticism. It can be the first step to raise the concept of the holistic-person education in athletes before practicing it.
