應用Wii Fit課程改善自閉症學生重心平衡之探討

The Effects of Applying Wii Fit Program to Improve Body Balance Function for a Student with Autism

摘要


本研究旨在探討個案接受Wii Fit教學前、後其平衡年齡及身體重心之變化情形。研究係使用單一受試研究法的A-B設計,以一名七年級輕度自閉症學生為對象,透過電腦遊戲軟體「Wii Fit」進行每次90分鐘、一週3天、為期共11週的頂球、呼拉圈、慢跑、節奏拳擊四大主題教學後,其從事動態休閒活動的成效。研究結果發現:一、自閉症學生的平均平衡年齡由基線期之38.67歲降至介入期之18.41歲,雖較其實際年齡14歲仍多4.41歲,但見顯著改善,共計下降20.26歲;二、自閉症學生的左右兩腳平均重心從基線期(53.33%:46.66%)至介入期(49.89%:50.13%)呈現改善且趨近平衡的狀態,顯示介入之成效。最後,歸納研究結果獲得以下結論:自閉症個案接受本研究應用WiiFit教學後,其平衡年齡及身體重心都有所改善,顯示課程的介入成效。

The purpose of this study was to investigate the change of balance age and body's center of gravity for a junior high student with autism by utilizing Wii Fit to intervene in his leisure activity. This study employed the single subject A-B design research, and data were collected throughout the aerobic exercises and balance games which were carried out at 90 minutes per day, 3 times a week, lasting for 11 weeks. The main findings were as follows: (1) The subject lowered his balance age from 38.67 of baseline condition to 18.41 of intervention condition. Although the result (18.41) was not matched with his chronological age (14), a successful reduction of 20.26 years of age was obvious. (2) The subject improved his body's center of gravity from baseline phase (53.33%:46.66%) to intervention phase (49.89%:50.13%), and it showed the intervention effects. In conclusion, after applying Wii Fit program to intervene in his leisure activity, the junior high student with autism was able to improve his balance age and body's center of gravity.
