眷村再現的困境：從新竹市眷村博物館談起

本文題為「眷村再現的困境」，定位為一個「問題意識的」（problematic）討論，將論述重心置於台灣文史及其文本，呈顯「眷村」被再現的形象。本文並非以博物館學作為研究路線，而是以新竹市眷村博物館的常設展展板與導覽手冊上的文字作為出發點（departure），復延伸以若干文本，試圖凸顯1980年代晚期以來眷村再現的高度同質性與選擇性，並暗示以大眾文化形式被詮釋的眷村文化為政治意識形態的表徵，與台灣常民生活具有階級上的落差。再者，眷村是先被高度文本化－包括文學創作與戲劇演出，後才有主題博物館的設立。博物館的眷村再現，所指向的並非一個「真實」的眷村，而是1980年代以來諸多文本所刻劃的形象。這些「去政治」傾向的再現，相當程度上美化或者淡化了的眷村的戰爭本質與陰暗面，以及眷村的消逝等議題，是為其困境。

Since the second half of the 1980s, there were a growing number of dramas and literature works focusing on the life in Military Dependents' Villages. In addition, the first Museum of Military Dependents' Villages was instituted in 2002. However, the representation of military dependents' villages were all identical, including in this museum. This article aims to investigate the representation of Military Dependents' Villages. By examining panels of the permanent exhibition, the visitor guide, and some literature works, this article will analyze: What words and images were used to represent the military dependents' villages? Were they the ＂truth＂ of Military Dependents' Villages? The present study enhances the previous studies' findings by providing a much more detailed examination of military dependents' villages.
