The Johor Bahru Hakka Association and Gantiandadi in the JB Chingay Festival

The Johor Bahru Chingay Festival has become an increasingly famous event attracting much attention in the academic worldwide. This paper is a fieldwork report of the JB Chingay Festival which lasted for five days in 2015. The main events were held between the third and fifth days. The discussion focuses on the Johor Bahru Hakka Association and its events during the JB Chingay Festival for the deity, Gantiandadi (感天大帝).
