博物館自動化與圖書館自動化之比較

摘要

近年來博物館的資訊化和數位化議題在國內逐漸受到重視。由於我國博物館資訊系統的市場並不成熟，因此部分圖書館自動化系統商也投入了博物館自動化系統的開發。但博物館和圖書館的經營哲學不同，兩者資訊系統的功能需求也有所差異，因此如欲將圖書館自動化的經驗應用於博物館，仍有許多的限制和問題必須予以重視。本文除比較圖書館與博物館在營運上的異同之處，並比較圖書館自動化與博物館自動化系統的功能異同及探討差異形成之因，更進一步探討圖書資訊領域的專長對博物館資訊系統發展有何助益、圖書資訊領域人員是否有可能投入博物館資訊學領域，以及圖書館與博物館的資訊整合等相關議題。

The topics of museum digitalization and automation have gained increasing attention in Taiwan in recent years. The market for museum information systems in Taiwan is not yet mature, thus some library automation system providers have begun to develop museum automation systems. However, the management philosophies of museums and libraries are different; hence their functions also differ. The application of library automation systems to museums is faced with limitations and challenges. This paper compares the similarities and differences in operation of libraries and museums, as well as the differences in their automation systems and the causes of these differences. The possible benefits of library information system expertise in the development of information systems for museums, whether library information personnel could work in the museum information field and the integration of information between libraries and museums are also discussed.
