本研究旨在探討大學生運用通訊軟體LINE推播輔助英文字彙學習的學習成效及學習滿意度。本研究採用實驗研究法,以新北市某科技大學應用英語系108學年度大二的學生為研究對象,分為實驗組(24人)和控制組(24人),進行英文單字的推播,實驗期間為4個月,皆進行英文能力之前測,實驗組的學生每日接收即時通訊軟體LINE的10個英文單字推播與測驗,控制組則採用一般傳統式的背誦英文單字,最後經過學後測驗比較兩組學習成效差異,並對實驗組進行學習滿意度問卷調查,獲得以下研究結果:使用LINE推播的學習者其學習成效顯著高於傳統學習的學習者;實驗組學生對於通訊軟體LINE輔助英文字彙量呈正向看法。最後依據本研究結果及學習者的意見回饋提出結論與建議,以供教學者及後續研究者參考。
The aim of the study was to understand the learning efficiency and learning satisfaction by using an Instant Messaging LINE on college students' vocabulary learning. This study used the experimental research method in one class of the second year of the 108th at a private University of Technology in New Taipei City. A total of 48 subjects participated and were assigned into experimental and control groups. A pretest-posttest quasi-experimental design was employed. For the experimental group, 24 students learned English vocabulary by using LINE Targeting Message function every morning while 24 students in the control group used worksheets with the same content to learn English vocabulary. The duration of the experiment was four months. Data was document analyzed through SPSS and qualitative analysis. The outcomes of the study were as following: (1) Students participated in the experimental group got better scores on their posttests than students in the control group. (2) Students' learning satisfaction by using LINE Targeting Message function on English vocabulary learning was positive. Based on the results of this study, some suggestions were provided for the teachers, and future researcher.
