摘要

本文系《人間佛教傳燈錄‧大陸編》十五個學案之一，該書包括《海外編》、《大陸編》、《港澳台編》三部分，在繼承中華傳統史學體裁的同時，也吸取運用了歐美現代學術思想史研究理論與方法，對廣泛搜集得來不易之1949年至今，海峽兩岸及海外弘傳人間佛教思想的百位高僧大德生平思想事業資料作了深入梳理與研究，以使當代人間佛教群英流傳千古萬代。本文除依高僧傳慣例詳列惟賢法師生平及成就之外，還梳理了其佛學思想的學脈、承傳衣缽的法脈及本人修行的法門淵源，通過閱讀其上百萬字的著述及深入研究，剖析了其思想特點，指出了其眾多弟子與法脈繼承者在西南地區的廣泛影響，精選並錄入其最有代表性的論述。

This article presents one of the fifteen cases of The Humanistic Buddhism Heritage in mainland China, a book divided into three parts: The Humanistic Buddhism Heritage in overseas, in mainland China, and in Hong Kong and Taiwan. The authors combine the skill of traditional Chinese genre of history with European and American research theory and methods of historical study. They collect and analyze the profiles of a hundred eminent monks and believers whom spread Humanistic Buddhism Thought since 1949 in China and beyond, hoping to have these Humanistic Buddhism promoters memorized by future generations. This article introduces Master Wei Xian's experience and achievement following the tradition of Eminent Monk's Biography. Moreover, in order to analyze the characteristics of his thought the authors also traces the origin of Wei Xian's Buddhist knowledge and lineage, and his Buddhist practice by reading his work of nearly a million words. The authors point out that Master Wei Xian's disciples and successors play important part in the southwest of China, and they also select some representative opinions of the master to be included in this paper.
