Vibration Reduction Behavior Simulation of Resilient Mount by Series Double Ends Transfer Mobility

To raise the performance, most fast vessels are designed with small block coefficient, compactness of engine room arrangement and light weight construction. The powerful main and/or auxiliary engines are thus installed in confined spaces which, as a consequence, cause an extremely high level noise source. This source can propagate structure-borne noise via multipaths, e.g., the mountings to faraway compartment or cabins. Meanwhile, it can also radiate under-water noise from the submerged structural vibrations. To concentrate on studying the vibration reduction behaviour of the resilient engine mounts, the simulation model can be established by utilizing the simple double ends input/output transfer mechanism, which is represented by the transfer mobility spectrum. Some dynamic parameters governing the vibration reduction effect have been discussed by the sensitivity analysis in this paper. Also, the analysis mobility results and that by experiment of the engine I resilient mount/seat coupling system have be undertaken.
