析論“詩經”在通識教育中的價值

The Value of Shi Jing in General Education

摘要


通識教育目的在喚起人的自我意識覺醒、建立個體獨立思考、分析、判斷能力,發展自我價值觀,並激發對環境的認識與關懷,通識教育是中國傳統以來全人教育的理念。基於學科整合與人文主義教育的立場,我國通識教育的推展應該重視中國傳統文化內涵,使通識教育能深植其中,讓中國人文精神更具現代化意義。 詩經是中國文學的起點,它的出現,標誌著中國古代詩歌,特別是抒情詩,在三千多年前就步入成熟階段。它雖然是個體生命,卻應對於群體社會、文化、政治、人際關係時所產生的多元意涵,它一方面關係個體生命的情感、思想,另一方面關係到宇宙、社會、歷史、文物制度及其他人文範疇的認知。本文從通識教育的涵義及詩經作為通識教育課程的省思入手,繼而比對詩經具有多元化通識教育意涵,為詩經教育提供可行的通識教育路徑。

The objectives of general education are to arouse the self-awareness of individuals to cultivate their independent thinking, analytical ability, judgment, and self-values, and to inspire their perception and attention to toward the surrounding environment. The general education with embedded objective of arousing self-awareness is the long-lasting concept of holistic education in Chinese education. The promotion of general education should place its emphasis on the content of the traditional Chinese culture by integrating the subjects and humanistic education, so that general education could be rooted in the traditional Chinese culture and bring modern meaning to the Chinese humanistic spirit. Shi Jing is the foundation of Chinese literature. Its emergence proved that ancient Chinese poetry, especially sentimental poetry, was in a developed stage three thousand years ago. Although it is an individual life, it contains multiple meanings to the group society, culture, politics, and interpersonal relationship. On one hand, it concerns the affection and thoughts of the individual life, on the other hand, it relates to the recognition of the cosmos, society, history, cultural relics, and other humanistic areas. This paper probed into the artistic features of Shi Jing and its influence on the history of literature, and suggested an approach of Shi Jing education n based on the mission of general education.
