摘要
本研究旨在探討電子書閱讀器之發展，透過文獻分析及實地訪談來進行本研究，資料經整理分析之後所獲之結論如下：1.國外電子書閱讀器廠商背後皆有電子書內容可提供給消費者，透過不同的書店或是網路通路銷售產品，配合圖書館及郵報訂閱等擴大市場，生產不同尺寸的電子書閱讀器滿足消費者；2.國內電子書閱讀器廠商提供電子書城，並針對國內市場提供在地化內容，以利開發華文市場；3.國內目前電子書遇到的問題為：很難讓消費者改變既有的閱讀習慣、國內的內容服務尚未完整、目前電子書閱讀器價格偏高。而根據上述結論提出幾點建議：1.增加供電子書閱讀器的內容；2.電子書閱讀器所增加之附屬功能應依據消費者之需求；3.配合政府推行電子書包之政策，以利消費者習慣新閱讀方式。

The purpose of this study was to investigate the development of e-book readers. Based on the literature review and an in-depth interview, the findings of this study were as follows. 1.The international or foreign e-book reader manufactures were more focus on marketing development, particularly the network between customers and library or newspapers. They usually cooperate with content providers to integrate software (content) and hardware (reader). 2.The e-reader manufacturers in Taiwan offered content as well and their marketing target was the Chinese e-book market. 3.Problems that domestic manufactures have encountered were readerships' habit is difficult to alter, the service of digital content is not fully developed, and the price of e-reader is still high. The suggestions of this study were the quantity of digital content needs to be increased; the e-reader's features can be added according to customer's needs; and the government's policies, such as electric schoolbag, should be seriously taken into account by the e-reader manufacturers.
