數位印刷應用於模內貼標印刷品質特性之研究

The Study on Print Quality Attributes of In-Mold Labeling Using Digital Printing

摘要


隨著傳統印刷業的利潤逐年下降,面對逐漸縮小的印刷市場,業者們該思考如何進行轉型來增加業績;另一方面,隨著環保意識的抬頭,印刷業者未來必須面對的減廢減排問題也將越來越明顯。數位印刷極具彈性且可變的印刷能力及低汙染的生產過程讓它在各種趨勢報告中成為非常被看好的未來發展重點。模內貼標是模內裝飾技術中具有經濟效益的一種製程,結合數位印刷的特性,可讓模內貼標更具發展潛力。本研究透過數位印刷機的種類與設定來進行實驗。在實驗中,採用兩種不同的印刷方式(噴墨與光電)及三種不同的噴印次數(8、16、32)噴印於PP被印材後,透過模內貼標製程進行射出成型,透過儀器測量分析導表各項目,比較分析射出成型前後印刷品質特性之差異。實驗結果:使用HP數位印刷之樣本在整體的影像品質上有較佳的表現,使用UV噴墨的樣本在灰平衡及物理特性上則有較好的表現,其中以使用8PASS設定之樣本的表現最佳,兩種印刷方式對於色差在不同色版各有優劣,在階調擴增上則均能符合國際規範;經射出成型後,由於色彩產生變化,因此色差、滿版濃度、印刷反差、灰平衡上會有所變異,階調擴增在此階段幾乎全數無法符合國際規範。

The traditional printing industry profits decline year by year and the printing market is shrinking. The printing works should think how to make the transition to increase performance. Besides the awareness of environmental protection that waste emission reduction issues must be faced in the future. Flexible and variable printing capabilities and low-pollution production process of digital printing that becomes the future development priorities on the report. In-mold labeling is the In-mold decoration technology with economic benefit of a manufacture process, combined with the characteristics of digital printing will allow In-mold labeling more potential.This research carries on the true experimental method. In the experiment, two different ways of printing (inkjet and electricphoto) and three different printing pass (8, 16, 32) printing on PP. By the In-mold labeling process for injection molding and instrument measurement analysis in comparative analysis of injection molding quality difference of characteristics between before and after printing. Experimental results: Use samples of the HP digital printing in overall of image quality with better performance. Use samples of the UV inkjet in the gray balance and physical characteristics with better performance. Use samples of the 8PASS with the best performance. Different digital printings can meet international specification on the tone value increase. After injection molding, because the color has changed, therefore the color difference, the solid ink density, the printing contrast and the gray balanced are variables. Almost full at this stage, the tone value increase could not meet international specification.
