噴墨印刷應用於模內轉印之印刷色彩特性研究

The Study on Print Color Attributes of In-Mold Roller Using Digital Inkjet Printing

摘要


模內轉印(IMR)技術能在不規則物體表面印刷出極佳的質感與效果,眾多產品外殼在經過立體轉印彩裝後具備防水、不褪色,達到保護、美化、宣傳的功能,使產品整體質感提高,可創造更多經濟價值。但目前模內轉印之前作業大多使用凹版或網版印刷印製PET轉寫薄膜;在成本與品質之分析,尚無法產生個性化印件產品,對於印刷業來說十分可惜;因此,本研究以數位噴墨印刷的方式,應用其輸出列印不需製版、節省製程成本、時效縮短、同時圖文影像精細且又能創造個性化塗裝效果等特點,將數位噴墨印刷結合模內轉印塗裝技術,經由先前可行性的實驗,再以不同轉印薄膜配合不同數位噴墨印刷的不同印墨,以列印製作PET轉印薄膜後,轉印至射出成型材質,以探討其數位印刷色彩品質特性、轉印前後色彩品質變化等之差異。透過嚴謹的實驗流程並量化的實驗量測與綜合分析,歸納出最適合的數位印刷方式以及轉印後最佳品質特性組合。經研究分析顯示:數位噴墨列印至PET薄膜再轉至ABS其滿版濃度會提升,在亮部調色階變化普遍偏高,且不同數位噴墨列印設備所列印之產品差異甚大;在色域方面轉移後顯示會縮小。此研究成果將回饋產、官、學、研界,為國內數位噴墨列印及模內轉印技術的提升,進而在印刷品質、顧客滿意度以及市場開拓等帶來新契機。

In Mold Roller (IMR) is a revolutionary printing process by which objects are 3D decorated. The products decorated by In Mold Roller are protected from water and fading. What's more, these kinds of decorations strongly increase the beauty, desirability and value of the objects. In Mold Roller is now using gravure printing and screen printing to print PET film, however, there are still some problems with these two technologies. For example, the process of gravure printing is more complex and expensive. Screen Printing is cheaper but the process is also complex. These two methods of printing are both unable to create personalized works, while digital inkjet printing can. Therefore, this research is to investigate the potential use of combining In Mold Roller with digital inkjet printing in 3D decoration. The independent variables are types of PET transfer films and different printing ink and hard coated layer, then transfer printed to the substrates. In each combination, 50 samples will be selected by systematic random sampling from 100 transfer printed products which will be examined for quality (color difference) of the In Mold Roller and find out the best composition of color and the best print quality.This study is a true experimental research, and the data is analyzed by SPSS software. Additionally, this study is expected to develop personalized printing service, broaden the usage of digital inkjet printing and In Mold Roller technology. The study analysis we find: digital inkjet printing to the PET film and then transfer to the ABS, the SID will increase, highlights changes in tone color levels generally higher. Different kind of digital inkjet printing are different in the products. After transferred, the color gamut will be smaller. The study will be beneficial to industry managers, government officers, and academics of the related field.
