Wireless sensor networks can have many interesting applications such as energy-saving, assisted-living application, the health and needs of the individuals, fire-monitoring, military applications, and so on. In the current trend, the focus of the computation is shifting with functions migrating outward to distant data centers reached through the Internet. Cloud computing is a new approach to data management. Cloud computing is evolving as a key computing platform for sharing resources in terms of scalable infra-structure, middleware and application development platforms, and value-added business applications. Traditionally wireless sensor network can be viewed as a centralized database approach or distributed database approach. In this research we view a sensor network as a database system based on cloud computing. Each sensor node generates a stream of data items that are readings obtained from one or more sensing devices on the node. In the real world applications, wireless sensor networks can generate large amount or unlimited data. The network should have the capability of handling large amount or unlimited data in the limited time or real-time environment. A good solution to handling large amount data is to store data in the cloud. Also, this research covers the implementation of a given scenario using the software QualNet.
