「岸裡社通事年表」再論－依據臺博館藏「岸裡大社文書」的討論

岸裡大社是清代臺灣中部平埔族群文化歷史變遷的重要縮影，通事制度則是當時原漢族群管理政策的一項主要措施。自清初至日治初期近二百年間，通事制度一直是岸裡大社社會運作的重要元素，通事的檢選、任命、更替與岸裡大社的管理與發展關係密切，而其歷任通事的更替記錄，即「岸裡社通事年表」，原留存於該社要人的一份手稿中，此年表自日治時期以來即深受重視，許多研究者更透過系統性的古文書分析，持續校補這份歷史記錄，而出現互有差異的數種版本年表資料。臺博館藏「岸裡大社文書」檔案是少數有系統的岸裡大社相關資料之一，然過去流通未廣，本文即嘗試以這批資料中不同年代的通事相關古文書記錄為線索，並酌參臺大所藏「岸裡大社文書」等資料，以重新探討各任岸裡社通事的更替時序及各版本通事年表的資料差異性之意義，並在可能範圍内提出初步再校定第1至第14任岸裡社通事的任職年代之梗概。

The indigenous An-li village was a major epitome of the process of cultural and historical change of the Pingpu Group in central Taiwan during Qing dynasty, while the institution of translating supervisor was crucial in the policy of management of the interrelationship between indigenous people and Han settlers of that time. Since early Qing dynasty to early years of the Japanese Colonial Period, for nearly two centuries the institution of translating supervisor continually played an important role in the social mechanism of the An-li village. Thus, the recommendation, commission, and replacement of the translating supervisor were close related to the overall administration and development of the village. The ＂Chronicles of the supervising translator of the An-li village,＂ a diachronic records of successive holdings of seat of the translating supervisor of the village, was originally compiled and kept in a manuscript by one of the prominent villagers, receiving wide ranges of attention since the Japanese Colonial Period. Various editions of the Chronicles with revisions and modifications were subsequently submitted by scholars, usually through systematic archival analysis of relevant antique documents. The ＂Archive Antique Documents of the An-li Village＂ in the National Taiwan Museum's collection was one of the few systematic data concerning An-li village at large, but its circulation was relatively limited in former times. This article primarily seeks to trace the links provided by the relevant records of different translating supervisors through time, and provisionally incorporates portions of data accumulated in the ＂Archive Antique Documents of the An-li Village＂ in the National Taiwan University's collection, in order to re-examine the feasible time sequence of succession of seats of translating supervisor, and the meanings of differences of data between contrasting editions of the Chronicle, and finally, to some reasonable extent, to put forward an outline of the revision of respective term of office for no.1~14 translating supervisor of the An-li village.
