本研究在探討有機錫對臺灣蚵螺(Thais clavigera)雄化發育的影響。所谓雄化是指前鰓類雌性個體出現額外的雄性生殖特徽之現象,有機錫化合物可引發此現象之產生。已有輕度雄化之蚵螺在雙氧化三丁基錫(bis(tributyltin)-oxide)20 ng Sn/1(TBT020),60 ng Sn/1(TBT060)及三苯醋錫(triphenyltinacetate)20 ng Sn/1(TPhT20)中處理90天,實驗組TBT060之雌蚵螺陰莖長度增加其相對陰莖指數爲19.3%,顯著大於對照組之3.4%,而TPhT20組爲14.2%,亦顯著大於對照組,本結果顥示雙氧化三丁基錫及三苯醋錫二者皆會促進蚵螺雄化的發育。
The effect of organotins on the development of imposex in the oyster drill Thaisclavigera was conducted in the present study.Imposex is a phenomenon of the developmentof additional male sex organs in female prosobranch gastropods which is inducible by variousorganotin compounds.In the experiments,oyster drills,T.clavigera,already slightly affectedby imposex,were treated with bis(tributyltin)-oxide and triphenyltin acetate for 90 days.Penis growth in female T.clavigera was promoted by bis(tributyltin)-oxide 60 ng Sn/1(TBT060)and triphenyltin acetate 20 ng Sn/1(TPhT20).In response to TBT060,the penesof females increased in size and the relative penis size index(RPS)rose to 19.3% comparedwith 3.4% in the control in 90 days.For TPhT20,the index increased significantly to 14.2%.Our results indicate that tributyltin and triphenyltin both can promote the development ofimposex in T.clavigera.
