蝕變斑狀安山岩俗稱「麥飯石」,生成於台灣海岸山脈的都巒山層中,主要的用途在於調整水質、冰箱除臭或用於魚缸的淨水之用。由於天然活性麥飯石之分子結構,具有強力的離子交換能力,能吸附水中所含的重金屬、水銀、瓦斯等致病物質,其本身並含有豐富的無機養分,如鐵、鈣、鋅、鉀、矽、鋁等礦物質,即俗稱礦泉水的主要成分,此外並能調和水中的酸鹼值,使水質成微鹼性,增加含氧量,且溶出適量之礦物質,確保有益健康的優良水質。本研究為解決艾利颱風帶來大量污泥,使桃園石門水庫的儲水濁度偏高,造成自來水無法使用的問題,採用簡便的DIY方式,以三至四道不同顆粒大小的麥飯石來過濾雜質,初步發現採用前三道海綿先阻隔較大懸浮雜質,最後以麥飯石(粒徑6.35mm)吸附較小懸浮微粒,可得最佳效果,達到飲用水標準。因此在颱風水質不佳期間,應用麥飯石改善飲用水的水質,應該是一種經濟有效的選擇。
Maifanshih (wheat-rice-stone) from the Eastern Coastal Range of Taiwan, existing in volcanic breccia of Du-Luan-mountain Layer, is a kind of metamorphic porphyry andesite. It generally modifies water quality, deodorizes refrigerator and purifies fish culturing water. Because of the strong adsorptive ability for adsorbing hazardous materials, releasing helpful elements such as Fe, Ca, Zn, K, Si, AI, adjusting pH value to 7.35, maifanshih may provide pure and clean water beneficial for our health. The aim of this study is to resolve the problem that a big typhoon Ai-Li had recently brought about too much mud in the drinking water into Shimen Reservoir of Taoyuan County that made tap water unable to drink. If 3 courses of sponges and Maifanshih particles size 6.35mm were DIY used to remove the suspended solids, the muddy water will then meet a qualified standard of drinking water efficiently. Therefore, Maifanshih applied in cleansing dirty water during the period of typhoon will be an economic and effective choice for us.
