This study aims to explore the correlation among perceived helicopter parenting, flexible thinking and design performance. In order to achieve the research purpose, this study invites the students of the fashion design department in southern Taiwan to participate. The number of participants was 173, with an average age of 19.1 years. Descriptive statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 23.0 statistical software, reliability and validity analysis, and path analysis by VisualPLS statistical software. The results of this study show that: (1) the two types of perceived helicopter parenting are negatively correlated with the different types of thinking; (2) the two types of perceived helicopter parenting and design performance are negatively correlated; (3) different types of thinking positively related to design performance.
