摘要

非同步傳輸模式ATM綱路具有保證服務品質(Quality of Service; QoS)安全性佳及流量控管能力，其架構在同步光纖綱路或同步數位階層(ATM over SONET/SDH)上所形成的寬頻整合服務數位綱路(B-ISDN)，普遍被認爲是當今高速綱路的骨幹，而ATM能夠將語音、數據、影像及多媒體等各種型態整合在一起，可以說是目前最佳的資訊交換網路。
