Inhibitory Effect of Deep Sea Water on Adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 Adipocytes

並列摘要

Deep sea water (DSW) is a multifunctional material that has been utilized for food, agriculture, cosmetics, and medicine. 3T3-L1 adipocytes were treated with hardness 0-2500 mg/L DSW for 0-48 h. DSW significantly decreased the intracellular triglyceride and glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase activity in 3T3-L1 adipocytes through modulations of the gene levels of lipolysis, fatty acid oxidation, and adipocytokines. These results indicate a potential molecular mechanism by which DSW can suppress adipogenesis in 3T3-L1 adipocytes through lipolysis and fatty acid oxidation.
