學士後中醫學系藥學及非藥學背景學生之學習成效的關係

The Academic Performance Between Pharmacy and Non-pharmacy Background Students of Post-Baccalaureate Chinese Medicine

摘要


中國醫藥大學學士後中醫學系(後中)是台灣第一個招收大學畢業生的學系,1984年成立至今(2018)已有超過2300名畢業生,歷屆學生中以藥學背景佔比最高。藥學背景學生已修畢部分後中課程,預期其成績表現是最優秀的;惟先前研究顯示復健醫學背景學生最優秀,藥學背景次之。本研究透過問卷調查與分析在校成績,探討藥學背景學生的報考動機與學習成績表現未如預期的原因。依據問卷調查結果,影響藥學背景學生報考後中的主要動機:預期考取後課業壓力較輕、招生考的化學考科較易準備、受到同儕的影響或鼓勵。成績表現方面,藥學與非藥學背景學生的整體成績表現沒有差異;後中八大類別課程,藥學背景學生在西醫基礎與公衛管理的成績表現優於非藥學背景學生;中醫方藥學科課程,藥學背景學生在中醫藥物學、中醫方劑學與方劑學實驗的成績表現優於非藥學背景學生。藥學背景學生預期考取後課業壓力較輕的確反映在部分科目的成績表現上,但就整體表現而言,藥學背景與非藥學背景學生的成績表現並無明顯差異。後中的特色是學生來自於不同領域,具備有不同專長,建議在選修課程的設計上,能依據後中學生原本大學的第一專長加以精進,提高學生在中醫專業科目之能力,增進現代中醫特色教育的發展。

Post-baccalaureate Chinese medicine (PBCM) of China Medical University is the first department recruits students with bachelor's degree in Taiwan. Since 1984 there are over 2300 graduates, the largest proportion is pharmacy background students. The pharmacy background students have completed part of PBCM course, which are expected to be the best academic performance. But previous studies have shown that rehabilitation medical background students have the best academic performance, followed by pharmacy background students. To explore the reason of them, we investigate the applying motivation through questionnaires and analysis the academic performance. According to questionnaires of pharmacy background students, their motivations are they expect academic pressure will less if admitted, it's easier to prepare Chemistry of entrance examination and peer influence or encouragement. In academic performance, there is no difference between the overall performance of students of pharmacy and non-pharmacy background. In the basic western medicine courses and public health management courses, the performance of pharmacy background is better than non-pharmacy background students. In the course of traditional Chinese medicine and pharmacy courses, students of pharmacy backgrounds performed better than non-pharmacy in Chinese medicine pharmacology, traditional Chinese medicine prescription and prescription experiments. The results of this study: students of pharmacy backgrounds expected to be less pressure after admission are indeed reflected in the performance of some subjects. However, in terms of the overall performance, there was no significant difference in performance between students of pharmacy and non-pharmacy background. The biggest feature of PBCM is that students come from different fields and have different specialties. It is recommended to design PBCM elective courses based on the students' expertise of prior universities. This can improve students' TCM professional ability and enhance the characteristic development of modern TCM education.
