探討台灣兒童牙科患者之父母對於Silver Diamine Fluoride（SDF）治療後牙齒染色的接受度
The Survey of Taiwan Parental Acceptance about Staining after Receiving Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) Treatment
摘要
目的：齲齒為常見的兒童口腔問題，近期一項被關注的治療方式為氟化氨銀（silver diamine fluoride, SDF）塗布，此方式保守、操作性佳，被證實可有效預防及減緩齲齒進程但塗布後將造成外觀的改變。藉此探索性研究希望了解台灣家長對於此治療的接受度。方法：本研究針對台北市立萬芳醫院兒童牙科高齲齒風險，且尚未接受牙科治療之學齡前孩童的家長，以問卷方式提供SDF於前牙及後牙區塗布前後之乳齒照片，進行接受度調查。結果：70份有效問卷中顯示，家長對SDF塗布於後牙的接受度為82.9%，而於前牙為31.4%。分析患者年齡、孩童當次看診行為表現、父母年齡、父母教育程度等因素與接受度的相關性顯示：大部分受測者對SDF治療後牙接受度大於前牙；父母學歷越高，對此治療的接受度越高。而孩童當診之配合度越高，父母對其前牙SDF治療接受度較低。結論：研究顯示台灣家長對SDF治療前牙造成的染色接受度低。齲齒區域、孩童就診行為表現及家長教育程度對於家長對SDF染色的接受程度有其相關性。

Purpose: Early childhood caries (ECC) is one of the most common children diseases. Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) has regained its popularity in controlling the ECC. SDF is effective, conservative and easy to operate. However, carious dental tissues will stain dark after its application, which may cause aesthetic concern. This pilot study is aimed to evaluate the parental acceptance of SDF staining in Taiwan. Methods: Parents with preschool children assessed of high risk of dental caries prior to dental treatment are recruited at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry in Wanfang Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan. Questionnaires with photos of primary anterior and posterior teeth treated before and after the application of SDF are used to investigate the acceptance of its staining. Results: A total of 70 parents completed the survey and provided their demographic information. The result shows that the acceptance of SDF staining on posterior and anterior teeth is 82.9% and 31.4%, respectively. The higher the parents' education, the higher the acceptance of this treatment; the more cooperation of children in the clinic, the lower the acceptance of SDF treatment on the anterior teeth. Conclusion: The majority of the parents rejected SDF saining over anterior teeth. There was a significant difference in its acceptance between anterior and posterior teeth. Areas of caries, child's behavior and parents' education are related to the acceptance of SDF staining.
