It is well known that Atsushi Nakajima, a writer in the Showa era, was a writer with rich sinology knowledge that read many Chinese classic books. Most of his works, such as The Moon Over the Mountain, etc., are rewritten and created based on Chinese classic books. It can be found from these works that, while creating works based on Chinese literature, Atsushi Nakajima abandoned the theme of "karma", which frequently appeared in the original works, and instead, directed the main theme of his works towards "self-searching". In addition to Chinese literature, Atsushi Nakajima made an extensive study of western literature. From the books he left behind, it can be learned that Atsushi Nakajima also had a keen interest in western philosophy, such as Plato, Socrates, Friedrich Nietzsche, Baruch Spinoza, Arthur Schopenhauer, and other western philosophers. The theme of "self-searching", which consistently appears in Atsushi Nakajima's works, is also a part of western philosophy. This paper conducts analysis on the works created by Atsushi Nakajima, as based on Chinese literature, to explore the influence of Chinese literature on the thoughts and acceptance of western philosophical thoughts.
