英文童謠的幽默性探究與教學

摘要


許多研究顯示,非英語系的國家學童,在學習英文時,由於對目標語言的不熟悉,時常飽受外語學習焦慮的威脅。其中,口語溝通焦慮及害怕引起負面評價的恐懼,造成許多學童英文學習動機低落。自古至今,童謠是孩童最喜愛的表達方式之一,且因童謠饒富幽默及趣味,能激發孩童學習的熱忱,是學習語言及文學的良好媒介。本文旨在探究英文童謠中的幽默特質、價值及功能,以及如何運用設計幽默性的英文童謠教學活動;期能增進幼稚園及國小教師對英文童謠之幽默性的瞭解及運用,進而釋放學童外語學習的壓力、提昇其英語學習之動機及效能。

Many studies indicate that the foreign language anxiety results in low motivation and interest toward English learning. The use of humor in the nursery rhymes create a relaxed and high interest atmosphere. On the other hand, nursery rhymes are the best-known literature in America. The purposes of this study are to explore the value and function of the humor which is applied in the traditional nursery rhymes. Besides, several interesting and humorous teaching skill are provided.
