金屬製品產業為製造業之龍頭,產業鏈以聚落形式、高效分工聞名國際,但近年來普遍面臨人口老化趨勢使勞動人口漸少,加上研磨拋光屬於「骯髒」Dirty、「危險」Dangerous、「辛苦」Difficult的3D產業,讓年輕世代不願意投入接班傳承,導致世代斷層日漸嚴峻。因此機器數位職人在勞動密集型和高風險工作中扮演很重要的角色,並適合導入在研磨拋光製程中。藉由學習老師傅的「腦」、「手」、「眼」的技藝,透過數位化軟體將老師傅的技藝轉移給機器人。有鑑於台灣產業困境與轉型需求,工研院機械所團隊推出研磨拋光機器人品牌RobotSmith,提供整體軟硬解決方案 ,並以自有軟體EzSim完成機器人模擬及路徑參數最佳化、搭載感測器實現製程品質要求、並透過專利獲證設備定位技術實現虛實整合。期許在這波數位轉型浪潮中,以精實的技術能力,攜手台灣廠產業共創新頁。
Metal product industry is a leading industry of manufacturing, and this industry chain is world famous for its settlement and high effective operation. However, metal product industry faces the problem of labor shortage in recent years. Furthermore, this industry's status are dirty, dangerous, demeaning, also known as the 3D, so many young generations are unwilling to devote to this industry. As a result, generation gap is more severe than before. Therefore, the digital robotic artisan plays potential and important roles on labor-intensive and high-risk jobs, especially for grinding and polishing process. By learning the skill of craftsman's brain, hands and eyes, the digital software solution can transfer these skills to robots. To overcome these industrial challenges, ITRI MMSL robotic group roll out a new brand of grinding and polishing robot called RobotSmith. The digital software EzSim provides many modules such as robot simulation, toolpath generation/parameter optimization, quality diagnosis and cyber-physical integration for industrial needs. We expect that RobotSmith can use cutting-edge technologies to create new era with Taiwan's industries.
