"A Guide to Learning and Development for Children Ages 3‐6" requires teachers to be good at discovering and protecting young children's curiosity, make full use of nature and practical life. It is emphasized that it is an important way to improve children's scientific inquiry ability to let children experience scientific inquiry activities in their life. In this paper, a self‐designed questionnaire was used to investigate the knowledge and implementation of science education in 6 kindergartens in the suburbs of Tianjin. The results show that kindergartens generally attach importance to the development of themed science education activities, but lack of understanding of life‐oriented science education, children's difficulties in participating in science education activities are often due to their lack of scientific knowledge in life, and teachers with less than five years of teaching experience can better mobilize children's participation in science education activities. Therefore, this paper suggests that early childhood educators strengthen the connection between science education and children's life, discover and use a variety of resources, provide opportunities for children to contact science in life, let children experience the fun of exploring life.
