剪黏材料與工法變遷對傳統剪黏工藝之保存及傳承影響

The Impact of Changes in Materials and Methods on the Preservation and Continuation of Traditional Art of Cut-and-paste Ceramic Ornamentation

摘要


剪黏從早期的隨機取材到量產定型化成品材料,及因工程造價與縮短工時的限制下,傳統剪黏技術及其相關工藝知識,在現代化材料衝擊下逐漸從年輕匠師手中佚失。現因古蹟修復工程的需求,仿古碗片與玻璃材料的再興,以及剪黏工藝的文創發展,使剪黏技術的保存與傳承,有了新的轉機。本文以剪黏的群體性工作形態、單體性傳習、創新剪黏工藝及法令規範等面向,探討剪黏技術保存與傳承的可行性。

In earlier times, cut-and-paste ceramic mosaic ornamentation (qian nian) mainly utilized randomly obtained materials, while such pieces are now made using mass-produced, standardized finished materials; due to the effects of limitations placed on project pricing and working time, the skills and knowledge of this traditional art have gradually become lost to younger generations of craftsmen. Nowadays, the needs of historic site restoration projects have led to a revival of the use of ceramic bowl shards and glass as materials, and the development of cut-and-paste ornamentation as a cultural creative industry, providing a new opportunity for the preservation and continuation of the craft. This paper examines the feasibility of the preservation and continuation of the traditional art of cut-and-paste ceramic ornamentation in terms of group work, the teaching of the art by individual masters to apprentices, and innovations in the craft.
