分散聚合製備單一粒徑高分子研究

摘要


本研究為探討以苯乙烯(styrene)及甲基丙烯酸丁酯(butyl methacrylate, BMA)單體,利用分散聚合(dispersion polymerization)法在不同實驗條件下製備單一粒徑分佈(monodispersed)之球狀高分子顆粒。實驗證實反應方法會影響高分子顆粒粒徑分佈。不同分子量之聚乙烯基砒硌烷酮(polyvinylpyrrolidone, PVP)穩定劑(steric stabilizer)可獲得相異之粒徑均一高分子顆粒。不同分子量之混合穩定劑亦可獲均一粒徑分佈的顆粒。改變溶劑中乙醇與水比例,亦因溶解程度之差異造成粒徑之改變。

The formation of mono-dispersed polymer particles using dispersion polymerization of styrene and butyl methacrylate monomers is studied. It is shown that the polymerization method applied can affect the distribution of particle sizes. The mono-dispersed particle can be obtained with the use of polyvinyl-pyrrolidone (PVP) stabilizer. Additionally, the size of polymer particles is dependent on the molecular weight of PVP. The mixture of PVP with different molecular weights can also be applied to prepare mono-dispersed polymer particles. The solvency of the solvent is proven to have a great effect on affecting the distribution of particle sizes.
