本研究旨在討論影響家長選擇孩子課後托育機構的因素,過去的研究多討論托育機構本身的硬體或師資對於家長選擇所具有之影響力,較少探討家長本身社經背景、孩子家庭結構、托育服務便利性及托育機構服務口碑所具有之影響力。故為補足此缺口,提出本研究假設。本研究以台灣北部地區國民小學家長為研究對象,採問卷調查法,而結果顯示,社經背景中的家長職業會對選擇托育機構有影響。家庭結構中單雙薪家庭以及母親上班時間也對於選擇托育具有影響力。而托育提供的便利性中,能配合家長下班時間、孩子成績進步與否、完成課業以減輕父母負擔,影響也為顯著。至於托育機構口碑,則顯示若報章雜誌對於該機構有負面報導,也會影響家長選擇。 最後,依據研究結果提出管理實務上之意涵,以及未來研究建議方向。
The study aims to discuss factors affecting parents’ choice of after-school institutes. Past studies mainly focused on the facilities and teaching quality of after-school institutes, yet less dealt with aspects from parental socioeconomic background, family structure, convenience, service quality and reputation of after-school institutes. Therefore, this study conducts a questionnaire to elementary school parents in Northern Taiwan and has verified the following factors that have an influence on parents’ choice of after-school institutes. First, on the aspect of parental socioeconomic background, parents’ jobs will affect their choice. Second, on family structure, dual- or single-earner family, and mother’s working time also affect the decision making. Third, on service quality, if an after-school institutes is convenient, cooperates to parents’ working time and takes a good care of children’s schoolwork, it will play a major part in parents’ decision. Last but not least, on the reputation of after-school institutes, any negative news from media will affect parents’ final decision. Eventually, this study provides practical management meanings and suggests more aspects for further studies.
