尋根探源 – 林玉雯版畫創作

摘要


起於懵懂之時形成的印象,源於之初而逐漸擴張的力量。根,屬於植物的營養器官,扎入土中吸取養分並支撐著枝幹,當枝幹越發茁壯時,為求穩固,根也必須持續向下延伸擴散;根扎入了家庭、童年記憶,藉由人際相處、生活輿論與社會歷練,逐步養成人格上的特性。尋根,意味必須透過挖掘、探索那內在源頭,亦如筆者對於過往的追憶。 尋根之於創作,釋義筆者在創作上的情感投射、邏輯思維與選擇性知覺下的表現,持以理性角度釐清根源並以作品自照,透過凝視下的反射,從外在形式到內在構思的逐一解構,藉此建立論述基點與創作定位。 研究所階段選擇以版畫作為發展,從道道程序的操作中悟得樂趣,進而投入相關的研究。以二O一三至一六年發表的作品為範圍,對於創作手法的慣性加以舉證,涉及「直覺」感知與「抽象」表現,並分別引用克羅齊和康丁斯基的論述作為探討基準,透過分析深化自我的創作定位;接續的藝術家研究以達比埃斯、陳庭詩、潘孟堯等人作為探究對象,從前輩們身上所汲取而來的想法,開闊了眼界更帶來創作上的共鳴。 創作理念的剖析以「反射」與「表現」作為切入,於學理參考中釐清創作脈絡且不斷地力求突破,試圖從結果的呈現中反問自身,分析自我的特質進而回溯根本的源頭。最後的作品闡述,講述著系列性創作下的起承轉合,以此對照自身之於版畫藝術的解讀,呼應與創作間的共融、成長。

The impressions formed during ignorance originated from expanding energy. The root is responsible for a plant’s nutrition, digging deep into the earth to absorb nourishment and to act as support to the stem and branches. As the plant branches out, the root penetrates deeper into the soil, extending into the family and childhood memories, gradually forming personality traits through relationships, life and public opinions, even social experiences. The search for one’s root signifies the inner source requires unearthing and exploration, which is similar to my journey into the past. The search for roots is the emotional projection of my thoughts and selective perceptions. By clarifying and reflecting the self through the perspective of reason and with the visual gaze, the outer form and inner structure is deconstructed to establish the basis for discourse and to establish the position of the creative process. I chose prints during graduate studies and found pleasure among the different procedures of printmaking; this encouraged me to pursue related studies. My works between 2013 and 2016 reveal the inertia of creative methods and involve the expression of intuitive perception and abstract expression. Using the discourse proposed by Croce and Kandinsky, I deepened my personal creative position. Other research included artists such as Tàpies, Chen Ting-Shih, and Pan Meng-Yao. These senior artists became my inspiration and brought new perspectives to my work. My work uses “reflection” and “expression” as an entry point to clarify the creative process through theories and continues to aim for breakthroughs, attempting to reflect the self in the result, analyzing qualities of the self and tracing its source. The final works display the transformations throughout the creative series, echoing my interpretations of prints and the coexistence and growth in creativity.
