Dispersion Relation in a Bi-Maxwellian Magnetoplasma

Plasma wave dispersion relations are considered for a thermally anisotropic collisionless plasma in a uniform magnetic field. Assuming the zero-order distribution function of each charge species in the plasma is bi-Maxwellian, the dispersion relations are obtained in terms of the plasma dispersion function and or the Bessel functions. Explicit expressions are given for cylcotron waves, hybrid mode, transverse mode and electrostatic mode.
