In 1977 I joined a research group in Taiwan to work on renormalization group theory and statistical physics. Professor Ta-You Wu indirectly helped the formation of this group. Although this group does not exist now, I have been working on statistical physics since 1977. This paper briefly reviews the histogram Monte Carlo approach to scaling functions, critical parameters, and order parameters of phase transition models completed by myself and coworkers. The background of this recent work may be traced to my research experience in 1977.
