Combined Midshaft Clavicle Fracture with Acromioclavicular Joint Dislocation in a Judo Player-A Case Report

柔道選手的急性中段鎖骨骨折伴隨肩鎖關節脫臼-個案報告

並列摘要

Purpose: Combined midshaft clavicle fracture and acromioclavicur joint dislocation is a rare entity. There have been only few cases of combined clavicle fracture and acromioclavicular dislocation reported in English literature. In this article, we highlight this unusual injury pattern and propose the probable injury mechanism. Case report [Materials & Methods]: In this case, we reported this injury in a collegiate student who participated in Judo training. Radiographic examinations showed combined midshaft clavicle fracture and inferior dislocation of lateral end of clavicle. A dynamic compression plate was used to fix the fracture and the inferior dislocation of acromioclavicur joint was anatomically reduced following fracture treatment and was found to be stable. Results: The patient visited to clinic with outstanding progress both clinically and radiographically. She could gradually return to her pre-injury activity during six month, one and two years follow up. Conclusions: A combined midshaft clavicle fracture and inferior dislocation of acromioclavicular joints is apparently unique. It illustrates the need to be aware of the possible combination of these injuries in all clavicle fractures.
