利用雷射前房蛋白細胞測量計來檢查不同程度糖尿病視網膜病變時前房Flare濃度的情形,結果顯示出背景性糖尿病視網膜病變和正常人相較時呈明顯的增加,前增殖性糖尿病視網膜病變和增殖性糖尿病視網膜病變時增加更為明顯,尤其後者最為明顯,此研究顯示出網膜病變愈嚴重時,血液房水柵的破壞也更明顯。
Aqueous flare intensity was measured with the laser flare-cell meter in 58 eyes with diabetic retinopathy and 25 eyes of normal controls. There was significant difference between the normal controls and the subjects with diabetic retinopathy. Flare intensity increased with the progression of diabetic retinopathy. Our results demonstrate the breakdown of the blood-aqueous barrier function exists in the early stage of diabetic retinopathy and progresses in parallel wih retinopathy.
