An Analysis of Ages, Heights and Weights of Softball Players in 1996 Olympic Games

摘要

The purposes of this study were to analyze the ages, heights and weights of softball players in 1996 Olympic Games. The softball players from the seven Olympic Competition teams were used as subjects. The seven teams are America, Mainland China, Australia, Canada, Japan, Holland and Chinese Taipei. The data concerning ages, heights and weights of softball players were recorded in the Olympic Softball Bulletin. The statistical methods, average mean, standard deviation, analysis of variance and studentized range test were used. The results were as follows:
1.The ages, heights and weights among the softball players of the seven teams reached significantly different, P＜0.01.
2.The weights of players in different positions obtained P＜0.01 significant level.
