摘要


台大醫學院自民國84年起進行為期3年的社區醫學遠距敎學計劃,提昇社區醫學敎學品質。本研究的目的在評估第一年建立之模式,ISDN桌上型遠距敎學系統軟硬體品質及應用於敎學之成效。研究期間共進行23次遠距敎學及18次對照課程,結果顯示聲音整體評價有89.4%的學生,影像整體評價有70.2%的學生覺得達到可以接受的最低標準,教材顯示及軟體功能滿意度則超過95%。視訊影像不平滑及聲音回受的現象是硬體滿意度最低的項目。以目前軟硬體品質,66%的學生認為家庭訪視討論適合遠距敎學,次為社區醫學敎學。若能改善軟硬體品質,大部分的學生都認為這兩種課程適合遠距敎學。晨會文獻閱讀即使改善軟硬體品質仍有26.7%的學生認為不適合遠距敎學。結論:ISDN桌上型遠距敎學系統軟體設計及敎材顯示品質已經達到實用的階段,但是視訊品質仍有待改進,學生肯定遠距敎學的價值,然而並非每一種課程皆適用於遠距敎學,硬體品質及課程性質是影響遠距敎學效果的重要因素。遠距敎學的功能不僅止於提供便捷的上課方式,應該進一步整合學校及社區的課程,改進敎學方法,才能發揮社區醫學課程的特色。

Since 1995, National Taiwan University College of Medicine has conducted a three year distance education project. The goal of this project is to improve the quality of community medicine training courses. This article describes the evaluation of the preliminary model of distance education developed in the first year, including the utilization of an ISDN desktop distance education system and the effectiveness of this system. Twenty three telecourses and eighteen traditional courses were taught during the study period. The evaluation revealed 89.4% of students agreed the system met the minimal requirements for audio quality and 70.2% for video quality. Over 95% agreed the system met the minimal requirements for both teaching material display and software design. Sixty-six percent agreed it was appropriate to use distance education for case discussion of home visits. If the quality of software and hard ware of our system were improved, this rate would increase to 95% There were 26.7% who considered distance education for the journal reading course inappropriate even if the software and hardware were improved. The software design and teaching material display quality of the ISDN desktop distance education system are appropriate for practical use, but the video quality needs to be improved. The students appreciate the application of distance education for community medicine training, but believe that not all training courses are appropriate for distance education. The quality of the hardware and characteristics of the course are important factors determining the effectiveness of distance education. We should not consider distance education simply a convenient way to deliver teaching courses, but more importantly a pathway to integrate the school curriculum and community activities for ultimate utilization of community training.(Full Text in Chinese)
