This paper sheds light on how to construct the conceptual content and guiding principles of a medical professionals ethics education based on Confucian thought, and thereby create an ethics education for a medical university. This education should present ethical and moral concepts in a concrete manner and further cause students to internalize these concepts in their personalities and lives. In addition, the paper also submits ideas and recommendations concerning the ethics education program at Kaohsiung Medical University's General Education Center and aspects of its courses. I hope that everyone will be generous with their comments and suggestions for the sake of improving the quality of ethics education and course design at medical universities.
