The article reviews the role and function of arsenic trioxide in treatment of acute promyelocytic leukemia. Through understanding the mechanism of arsenic trioxide on bone marrow and clinical effect as well as side effect on APL patients, effective nursing interventions could be designed. The oncology nurses should provide proper intervention to improve the well-being and life quality of the patients undergoing arsenic treatment.
