摘要

植物經由內在與環境訊息之整合而影響植物之生長。脫落酸可調節植物在不適宜環境下生長，以渡過不良環境而存活。本文旨在討論水稻在低溫、臭氧、鎘以及鹽分逆境下生長，所扮演之生理功能。資料也顯示，水稻環境逆境之抗性取決於脫落酸合成之能力。

Plant growth is influenced by the integration of diverse endogenous and environmental signals. Abscisic acid (ABA) has been shown to regulate many aspects of plant growth in response to unfavorable abiotic stresses, allowing the plant to cope with and survive in adverse conditions. Here, we summarize the data concerning the role of ABA in rice plants grown under conditions of chilling, ozone fumigation, cadmium stress, and salinity. Evidence is provided to show that the tolerance of rice plants to abiotic stresses is related to ABA accumulation.
