缺乏舞台的領袖人才－黃昭堂

劉邦才不如張良與韓信，卻可以成為帝王，因為他不只有帝王之才，還有帝王的舞台。當代才能不在張良、韓信之下者大有人在，他們卻不能成為將相，因為他們沒有將相的舞台。台獨聯盟主席有領袖之才，他能讓別人發揮長才，自己再整合團隊的力量，可惜他沒有舞台，所以沒有變成政治領袖。他將自己的一生奉獻在台灣獨立建國方面，沒有機會踏入政壇，當然沒有政治領袖的舞台。今日資訊發達，大家都很容易獲得政治理念方面的資訊，更能瞭解政府的作為。昔日獨裁政權封鎖新聞，台灣人並不清楚自己面對外來政權的殖民統治，更不了解台灣人也可以建立自己的國家。黃主席等台獨運動人士雖然沒有成功的推翻「中華民國」，但在獨立運動方面卻產生了副產物，就是完成啟蒙的工作，讓台灣人知道蔣家政權在殖民統治台灣，更讓台灣人知道可以建立自己的國家。當時從事台獨運動是要冒著被外來政權迫害的危險，甚至於有失去生命的可能，昔日台獨運動是值得台灣人的尊敬。一般國家的獨立建國是要透過武裝革命或柔性革命，所謂柔性革命就像近日發生的茉莉花革命一樣，以群眾運動達到政治目的。然而武裝革命或是柔性革命都要有特殊的背景，諸如獨裁、腐化、貧窮等，在民主、自由、安定的國家，不可能出現武裝革命或柔性革命。以前黃主席等台獨運動人士所從事的就是體制外運動，就是不排除以武裝革命或柔性革命達到獨立建國的目標。台灣政治民主化之後，人民生活日趨安定，在民主、自由、安定的環境下，體制外運動日趨萎縮是意料中事，黃主席等台獨運動人士不得不與在體制內參加選舉的人合作，推動獨立建國運動，以正名制憲達到獨立建國的目標。台灣目前雖然由人民選出各級政府首長及民意代表，執行國家主權，可是黃主席還是認定台灣並不是一個主權獨立的國家，因為台灣不能切割中國，台灣與「中華民國」合在一起就不能排除中華人民共和國以繼承的地位取得台灣的主權，所以正名制憲是台灣當務之急。在執行正名制憲之前，更要終止馬英九的傾中政策，中斷統一之路，所以必須贏得總統大選。

Chairman Yuzin Chiautong Ng of World United Formosans for Independence (WUFI) is a passionate and gifted political activist with remarkable skill integrating various opinions and actions into one unitary movement. He did not throw himself onto the political stage, consequently, never won the political power to exercise his leadership. Among his political goals, expelling the Republic of China out of Taiwan is the most significant one. It is still not within reach to achieve this goal. However, it is unfair to claim that Chairman Ng failed his task. His strong advocate to fight with Chiang Kai-shek's oppression on people of Taiwan has enlightened and empowered many followers. However, with democratization introduced and consolidated in Taiwan, radical or revolutionary measures to achieve that goal are not welcomed or acceptable to people in Taiwan. Democratic means is the only rule of the game. Any reforms must be taken within the current framework. Nevertheless, Chairman Ng insists changing state title as Republic of Taiwan and drafting a new constitution are the top priority of political reforms. Carrying the state title as Republic of China is trapped in China's legitimacy fight with People's Republic of China. The immediate task is to get Ma Ying-jeou out of the presidency. Ma has made himself the very obvious obstacle to Taiwan's sovereignty.
