An Object-Oriented Administration Tool for IP-PBX

並列摘要

As the Internet bandwidth grows, Internet telephony that transports telephone calls over the Internet has become an emerging application. Nowadays, almost every organization is planning to migrate its telephone switch from traditional PBX (private branch exchange) to IP-based PBX (IP-PBX). Applying the VoIP (voice over IP) technology, Internet telephony can not only save phone cost but also take more controls on PBX the to integrate it with existing and future services like web, email and streaming media. When supporting these services in IP-PBX, dial-plan and interactive-voice-response (IVR) management are two of the most important functionalities for users to customize their needs. In this paper, we design and implement an object-oriented administration tool for IP-PBX. It can help administrators to manage the dial-plan and IVR settings easily and dynamically via unified web interfaces.
