Divergent thinking (DT) tests are most often and widely used assessment tool for creativity potential, however, validation of relevant DT tests does not have many in Taiwan. The purpose of this study is to develop and validate the ”Unusual Uses of the Newspapers Test”, and to establish a norm. 388 college students were participated, the results are as follows: 3398 numbers of answers, and 20 categories reaction norm; the inter-rater reliability and validity are acceptable. In general, ”Unusual Uses of the Newspapers Test” has good reliability and validity, and could be the good assessment tool for creative research, education and training.
