「越」學「越」上手-2017~2019一中部國立科技大學越南進階課程初探

Getting the Hang of Learning Vietnamese in Vietnam: The Study of Local Vietnamese Courses at a National University of Science and Technology in Taichung from 2017 to 2019

摘要


從「第二語言習得」觀點,規劃中部某國立科技大學在越南當地進行的一系列越南語相關課程,並命名為「越南進階課程」。該課程自2017年開辦以來,至2019年,每年均在7月份辦理,每次為期四週,歷年累計共有39位學生參與。每位學生必須修讀越南語在地聽講、越南語在地閱讀與寫作以及越南文化與風俗三門課程,共計6學分,總修課時數為108小時。本文採用量化研究以及質性研究進行課程探討,除介紹該進階課程之外,亦從課程結束後之學生滿意度問卷調查進行分析。最後,再根據同意接受深度訪談研究的10位同學之訪談結果,著手質性研究討論。本研究所用之問卷調查資料,係由每位學生於當屆7月份課程結束回台後最慢於當年9月底前所提供。深度訪談進行時間,則自2019年10月至2020年8月。研究結果發現,學生對於越南進階課程皆持予正面之評價;此外,學生參加越南語進階課程前由於已具有明確的動機和心理準備,因此,在地學習期間可克服相關困難且學習成果相當顯著。而學生相關問題之反映,也有助於未來課程改善之參考。

According to the perspective of "second language acquisition," a series of Vietnamese courses in Vietnam conducted by a national university of science and technology in Taichung are named as "Local Vietnamese Courses." From 2017 to 2019, the courses were implemented in July of the year and the period of these three courses lasted for four weeks, over three years. Altogether, there were 39 students participating in the program. Every student must take three courses, titled "Local Vietnamese Listening and Speaking," "Local Vietnamese Reading and Writing" and "Vietnamese Culture and Customs." There are total 6 credits and 108 hours of class time for these three courses. Quantitative and qualitative research methods were adopted to conduct the study of this paper. In addition to introducing the Local Vietnamese Courses, the paper has also analyzed the students' satisfaction questionnaires after the completion of these courses. Furthermore, based on the results of 10 students who agreed to accept the in-depth interviews, we started qualitative research and various kind of discussion. Most of the questionnaires used in this study were collected each July when students had completed their courses, and part of them were collected no later than September of the year. The in-depth interviews were carried out from October 2019 to August 2020. The study's results show that those students have positive feedback for Local Vietnamese Courses. In addition, students already had clear motivations and had prepared psychologically before they took part in these Vietnamese advanced courses. Therefore, students could easily conquer various difficulties during the period of studying in VNU University of Social Sciences and Humanities with excellent academic achievements. And their feedback and suggestions of related problems are also of great help for the improvement of these courses in the future.
