具∞迴路架構之多重光纖路經保護與故障點即時偵測通報的CATV 網路系統

摘要


為解決傳統有線電視網路樹枝狀拓樸因光纖發生斷裂造成斷點之下用戶將完全失聯之問題,本研究提出一種具多重光纖路經保護架構與故障點即時偵測通報之CATV 網路系統,在CATV 系統的頭端(Head End)至光節點(Fiber Node)之間建置一HUB 端,並藉由OPS(Optical Protection Switching)使得Head End 至Fiber Node 形成一具多重∞形狀的四光纖路徑保護架構,一但CATV 系統發生光纜斷裂或光纖信號品質不佳等故障事件時,OPS 能立即切換光纖傳輸路徑以維護CATV 網路傳輸不致中斷;另外,當網路發生問題時,系統將抓取設備的log 與資料庫進行比對,以快速找出障礙點,即時處理網路問題,以避免影響用戶的使用權益。

Traditionally cable television (CATV) network configuration is mainly a branch topology. Fiber's breakage always brings disconnections of CATV and Internet access. Meanwhile, network service providers usually cannot be informed of network breakage instantly; network problems are being noticed only after the user's calling for services. Network breakage location detection and repair are in general costly and time-consuming. This paper proposes a new framework to protect CATV fiber optic networks and this framework forms a fiber protection mechanism with four-path of multi ∞-shaped and real time alarm monitor system between the head end and the fiber node. When the CATV experiences a malfunction such as fiber optic cable breakage or poor signal quality, Optical protection switching (OPS) can immediately switch the fiber transmission path in order to maintain uninterrupted CATV network traffic. Besides, whenever the network is mal-functioning the proposed system will query the log data of the network facility, and do the matching with the database's. Therefore, the breakage location can be pinpointed in no time, i.e., solving the network problems in a real-time basis, and the subscribers' benefits of the CATV can be assured.
