摘要

聚落是因人與自然、人與人、人與超自然之間的互動所形成，是人生活與繁衍的中心，其內容包括人類的居住行為、居住環境的空間分佈及形式，以及特定的社群等。「文化資產保存法」指「聚落」，為具有歷史風貌或地域特色之建造物及附屬設施群，包括原住民部落、荷西時期街區、漢人街庄、清末洋人居留地、日治時期移民村、近代宿舍及眷村等。淡水的重建街自清代乾隆末年起逐漸形成並成聚落，這一街道聚落的地形地貌、宗間信仰、傳統習俗、住民職業，甚具文化特色，如今縱然街道拓寬，聚落繁榮退去，但當你駐足此地時，仍然能夠讓你的心靈獲得深刻的感受與遐思。

A community is formed because of the interaction of man and man, man and nature, and man and the supernatural; it is the center of human life and reproduction, and its contents include the housing behavior of humankind and the spatial distribution and manner of the housing environment, specific communities, and so forth. ＂The Cultural Heritage Preservation Act＂ refers to 'community' as having historical character or constructions with regional characteristics and their associated facilities including aboriginal villages, Holland era neighborhoods, Han Chinese hamlets, residences of Westerners at the end of the Qing dynasty, immigrant villages during the Japanese administration times, modern dormitories, military dependents' villages, etc. Tamsui's Chongjian Street started in the last years of Qianlong's reign (1735-1796) of the Qing dynasty and gradually formed into a community. This street community's topography, geomorphology, religious beliefs, traditional customs, and inhabitants' professions all have their cultural characteristics. Even though nowadays the street has been widened and the community's prosperity has declined, yet when you pause while walking there, it still can let your spirit experience deep feelings and daydreams.
