Textual Criticism of Dunhuang Manuscripts is centered on the manuscripts from the 4th to 10th centuries. The sophisticated writing forms of these manuscripts make them different from the printed books, which is the characteristics and also the difficulty. This paper examines the original forms of the manuscripts of transformation texts, especially those titles with "bian". In studying the original forms of these transformation texts, by focusing on their preserved forms, background manuscripts, co-written documents, etc, this paper aims to reveal their original forms for lecturing and reciting. This paper will study their illustrations, the generic terms with rhythms, and verses and essays. It hopes to clarify the category of the transformation text and provide a different dimension of the transformation texts, for a multi-level interpretation of the textuality of the transformation texts.
